Villa Zito houses the Art and Archaeological Museum Ignazio Mormino, including a rich collection of archaeology, majolica, numismatic, stamps, prints and paintings. The art gallery features the most famous pictures of Sicilian artists of the IX century such as Francesco Lo Jacono, Antonio Leto, Giuseppe Sciuti, Salvatore Marchesi and others.
The archaeological section is enriched by thousand of finds originating from the excavations of Solunto, Terravecchia di Cuti, Himera e Selinunte. The Ceramic collection is reminiscent of the production, from the last quarter of the VII century to the end of the IV century B.C.
The Museum also holds a very rare collection of majolica. The numismatic collection includes a series of medieval and modern sicilian coins. In the philatelic section you can find a vast collection of stamps, dating back to the Reign of two Sicily.
